You may notice discoloration in the water; this is because the pressure from flushing the hydrants causes a greater disturbance in the pipes than ordinary household pressure drawing on the lines.  This should clear up within a few hours after flushing hydrants in your area.  Flushing causes sediment to be flushed through the lines.  You may wish to avoid doing laundry on Wednesdays.

Please note that hydrants are not flushed during drought warning situations.

Snow and/or ice is to be removed from sidewalks within 24 hours of a snowstorm.

No snow or debris shall be placed in the street.

Sealed bids will be received at the Westfield Borough Office, 429 E. Main St., Westfield, PA  16950 until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025 when bids will be publicly opened.  The bids must be marked “Equipment Bid”.  For questions or to inspect equipment, contact the borough office at (814) 367-2632.  The equipment will be sold “as is”, no warranty.  The borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
